ATTENTION ALL FIRST-YEAR MITES (6U/8U):
ALL FIRST-YEAR 6U/8U PLAYERS are invited to the Stephen C. West Ice Arena on Wednesday, October 28, from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM to collect your loaner gear for the upcoming season. This is a great opportunity for young players to get ready for the season.
We look forward to seeing you there!
Summit Youth Hockey does not provide skates(you may rent them from the rink if needed), neck guards, or athletic supporters
6U/8U 2026-27 SEASON INFORMATION
Welcome to the 2026-27 Summit Youth Hockey season! We are thrilled to have you join us for another exciting year of hockey. Registration for the upcoming season will officially open on August 1.
Practices and games for 6U/8U will kick off the week of November 2. We are looking forward to a season filled with skill-building, team spirit, and, of course, fun on the ice!

Practice Schedule for 6U/8U Regular Season - Practices Start November 2
All practices will take place at the Stephen C. West Ice Arena in Breckenridge, CO
2020, 2021, and 2022 Birth Years (6U/Mini Mites)
- Monday - 5-5:45 PM
- Wednesday - 4:30-5:15 PM
2018 and 2019 Birth Years (8U/Mites)
- Monday - 5:45-6:45 PM - Indoor Rink
- Wednesday - 5:15-6:15 PM - Outdoor Rink

SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS ARE DUE FRIDAY, OCTOBER 23
For the upcoming 2026-27 season, families seeking scholarship consideration are required to submit their most recent tax filings. It is essential to blackout any sensitive information in the document before emailing it to board@summityouthhockey.org. Notifications regarding scholarship awards will be sent out during the week of October 28

Summit Youth Hockey 6U and 8U will play in 3 In-House Jamborees on the following dates and will also play in our Pond Hockey Tournament on Saturday, January 30.

Jerseys and Equipment
All players will receive a practice jersey and socks to keep.
ONLY first year players will receive equipment.
First year players will need to purchase skates and a jock.
2026-27 6U/8U
First year 6U and 8U players registration is free.
Returning 6U and 8U players registration will be $650.00 for the season.
