6U/8U 2026-27 SEASON INFORMATION

Welcome to the 2026-27 Summit Youth Hockey season! We are thrilled to have you join us for another exciting year of hockey. Registration for the upcoming season will officially open on August 1.

Practices and games for 6U/8U will kick off the week of November 2. We are looking forward to a season filled with skill-building, team spirit, and, of course, fun on the ice!

AS OF AUGUST 1ST, 2024, USA HOCKEY REQUIRES ALL PLAYERS UNDER THE AGE OF 18 TO WEAR NECK LACERATION PROTECTION. THIS INCLUDES GAMES AND PRACTICES. FOR MORE INFORMATION, CLICK THE LINK BELOW.

Scholarship Information

Summit Hockey would like to thank BGV Gives, Skatesgiving The Summit Foundation, and the Town of Breckenridge for their grants that fund our scholarships.

SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS ARE DUE FRIDAY, OCTOBER 23

For the upcoming 2026-27 season, families seeking scholarship consideration are required to submit their most recent tax filings. It is essential to blackout any sensitive information in the document before emailing it to board@summityouthhockey.org. Notifications regarding scholarship awards will be sent out during the week of October 28

Practice Schedule for 6U/8U Regular Season - Practices Start November 2

All practices will take place at the Stephen C. West Ice Arena in Breckenridge, CO

2020, 2021, and 2022 Birth Years (6U/Mini Mites)

  • Monday - 5-5:45 PM
  • Wednesday - 4:30-5:15 PM


2018 and 2019 Birth Years (8U/Mites)

  • Monday - 5:45-6:45 PM - Indoor Rink
  • Wednesday - 5:15-6:15 PM - Outdoor Rink


Games

In-House Jamborees: TBD


Jerseys and Equipment

All players will receive a practice jersey and socks to keep.

ONLY first year players will receive equipment.

First year players will need to purchase skates and a jock.
